We had tacos for dinner last night and there are some shells leftover. So she brings me them this morning and says she wants a taco for breakfast. You have to understand... she doesn't like tacos. I break them up like chips for her and give her some stuff on the side that she'll eat generally, but she doesn't like taco meat and things of that nature.
So when she brought it to me this morning and she told me she didn't want me to break it up... she actually wanted stuff inside it, I was kinda floored. But I knew... I just knew she wasn't going to eat the normal taco fillings. Like I said she doesn't like the meat and she believes humans were not meant to eat leaves... so definitely no lettuce.
I asked her what she wanted in the taco. So she tells me she wants sauce... well what kind of sauce... we have lots of sauce. I sorta knew what she was going to say, but I wanted to wait and see. BBQ sauce... of course... it's the only sauce she'll eat. Well what else? I told her she couldn't just have sauce. She spied the hot dogs we had just bought yesterday when we went shopping and pointed to it. And then said she wanted cheese too.
Yep... I cut up that hot dog... I put it in the taco shell and sprinkled cheese on top... and then put a bit of BBQ sauce on it... and she ate it. Loved every last bite. Well almost every last bite... there's a couple of bites left... but she ate it.
Well... at least I know what to give her from now on when we have tacos...
